This Set includes one pair of Firm Pads and one pair of Soft Pads for a total of four Pads. You will also receive a FREE tote in a surprise color!

Both Level 3 - Firm Pads and Level 4 - Soft Pads “give” laterally (i.e. sideways). This means they are less stable than the Level 1 – Physiopad or the Level 2 – Hard Pad. Firm and Soft Pads allow horses to explore a large range of weight shifts by yielding to the horse’s hoof in a side-to-side manner. In addition, Soft Pads yield to the weight of the horse more than Firm Pads, allowing the horse to sink in rapidly. Soft Pads are like presenting your horse with a pair of bedroom slippers – comfort is felt right away.

Firm and Soft Pads are the next challenge level in the SURE FOOT Program after the Physiopad and Hard Pad. That is, once horses are comfortable with these two Pads they may progress to Firm and Soft.

Please familiarize yourself with the SURE FOOT Equine Stability Program® before using SURE FOOT Pads. We highly recommend watching the Quick Start Guide prior to offering Pads to your horse for the first time. Also check out the illustrated SURE FOOT Equine Stability Program Workbook which can be taken to the barn!

  • Use caution when first offering - make sure your horse is comfortable with them.
  • Start by having your horse in an open space, like an enclosed arena.
  • Keep your horse on a lead rope when using Pads, rather than cross ties.
  • Position the Pads with your foot - keep hands away from hooves.
  • Allow your horse to walk off the Pads if he needs to move.
  • Never leave your horse unattended while using the Pads.

Always check with your veterinarian before using the Pads for any specific conditions or unsoundness.

Note: SURE FOOT Equine Balance Pads are a tool to benefit your horse. Though durable, just like your other equipment they will show wear and tear over time. Nicks, tears, and cuts are considered normal and do not alter the effect of the Pads in any way.

Before using your SURE FOOT Pads for the first time, rub a small amount of dirt or footing on the colored surface. This will prevent them from sticking together or from sticking to the horse’s hoof during the initial use.

If needed, Pads can be cleaned with a sponge and warm water.

Store your SURE FOOT Pads where rodents can't get to them. When not using the Pads, please don't leave them:

  • In a closed vehicle (like a car or trailer)
  • Exposed to excessive heat
  • Out in prolonged sunlight

Simply - if you wouldn’t leave your dog there, don’t leave your Pads there.
